What is LinkedIn Crossclimb?
Crossclimb is one of LinkedIn's daily games, played alongside Queens, Tango, Pinpoint, and the rest of the lineup inside the LinkedIn News and games experience. Each day it gives you one new trivia word-ladder to solve.
The format is clever: five middle rungs each carry a trivia clue, and once you have answered them you rearrange the rungs so that every neighboring pair of words differs by a single letter. Solve the ladder and the locked top and bottom rungs open with one combined clue for both. One puzzle a day is a great ritual — but when you finish it and want another, there is nowhere official to go.
That is why this site exists. The Crossclimb Game is an independent, free edition of the same climb-the-ladder idea, built for players who want to keep going. It is not the official puzzle and it is not affiliated with LinkedIn — it is a fan-made companion that gives you Crossclimb whenever you want it.
How to play
The rules here are the same as the LinkedIn version. Every answer is a common word of the same length, four or five letters. You answer the five middle clues in any order, then arrange the rungs so each adjacent pair of words changes by exactly one letter in one position — no anagrams and no adding or dropping letters.
When the middle ladder is correct and ordered, the top and bottom rungs unlock with a single combined clue describing both words. Fill them in, with each end sitting one letter away from its neighboring rung, and the climb is complete. Stuck on a clue? A hint reveals one letter at a time.

LinkedIn Crossclimb FAQ
Is this the official LinkedIn Crossclimb?
No. The Crossclimb Game is an independent, fan-made site and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by LinkedIn or Microsoft. The official Crossclimb is published by LinkedIn; this site is a free companion for players who want more puzzles.
Why play Crossclimb here instead of on LinkedIn?
LinkedIn gives you one Crossclimb puzzle per day. This site adds an unlimited mode with a fresh puzzle on demand, a numbered library you can play in any order, an archive of past days, and optional leaderboards — all free and without a LinkedIn account.
Are the rules the same as LinkedIn Crossclimb?
Yes. You answer five trivia clues, order the rungs so each neighboring pair of words differs by one letter, and then solve a combined clue for the locked top and bottom words. If you can play LinkedIn's Crossclimb, you already know how to play here.
Do I need a LinkedIn account to play here?
No. You do not need a LinkedIn account, and you do not need any account at all to play. Signing in is optional and only adds the daily leaderboard and cross-device progress; every puzzle is fully playable signed out.
Is it free?
Yes, completely free. There is nothing to install and no paywall — just open a puzzle and start climbing.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. The ladder is built for touch first: tap a rung to answer it and drag the rungs to reorder them, or use the up and down buttons. It works on phones, tablets, and desktops in any modern browser.
