Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026
The Crossclimb Game is designed to respect your privacy. We do not require an account to play, and we do not ask for any personal information to solve a puzzle.
Information we store
As you play, we store your game data — such as which rungs you have solved on each puzzle, your solving streak, and your best times — directly in your browser using localStorage. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to us. Clearing your browser storage will erase it.
Optional sign-in
Signing in is optional and only needed for the daily leaderboard and syncing your progress across devices. If you choose to sign in, your solve times and streak for the daily puzzle are associated with your account so they can be shown on the leaderboard and restored on your other devices. You can play every puzzle fully without ever signing in.
Cookies
The core game does not set tracking cookies of its own. If you sign in, a session identifier may be stored so you stay logged in. If this site displays advertising or uses analytics, those third-party services may set cookies or use similar technologies subject to their own privacy policies; any such usage will be reflected here and in any consent controls shown to you.
Third-party services
Pages may load from a content delivery network for speed and reliability. Standard web server logs (such as IP address and browser type) may be recorded by our hosting and CDN providers for security and operational purposes. We do not use these logs to build profiles of individual players.
Children
The Crossclimb Game is a general-audience word puzzle and is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
We may update this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date above.
Contact
Because this is an independent hobby project, the simplest way we protect your privacy is by keeping it minimal: no account is required, and playing needs no email or personal data at all.
